Kirinyaga County on Sunday unveiled its own version of the Sonko Rescue Team, that will be offering free services to residents.
The team which was launched on Sunday by Woman Representative, Purity Wangui Ngirici will be offering services in water, healthcare and ambulance services.
The Woman Rep affirmed that the organization will be providing jobs to young people in Kirinyaga in an effort to minimise unemployment in the county.
Ms Wangui, who named the group Ngirici and Sons Rescue team, further borrowed a leaf from Sonko's team by purchasing a red uniform for the youth.

Additionally, she purchased a fleet of vehicles including ambulances and other service utility vehicles which were prayed for at a service held at ACK Kianyamu in Gichugu.
The legislator, who is known in Kirinyaga for her flamboyant lifestyle, had a chopper and a luxury vehicle waiting to ferry her after the ceremony.
Ms Wangui who was in Governor Anne Waiguru’s camp raised eyebrows when she missed the governors swearing-in which was attended by DP William Ruto.
In a statement, the Kirinyaga women rep defended her absence affirming that there were claims that Waiguru had planned to humiliate her.
Ms Wangui stated that at the time, she had information that Governor Waiguru’s supporters had been instructed to boo her during the inauguration.
