Moses Kuria Advises Raila on 1st Thing He Should Do After Being Sworn in

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria on Sunday advised National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on the first thing he should do after being sworn in as president of Kenya.

Speaking at St Massimo Catholic Church in Mikinduri, Meru county, the legislator reiterated that it would be illegal for Raila to swear himself in as president.

"The constitution is clear that you can't have two presidents. When you (Raila) are sworn in, go home to your wife, not to State House.

"Being sworn in will mean you have committed treason and the punishment of treason is death by hanging. I tell Raila that Kenya is not his," he explained.

The Jubilee MP admitted that even though the opposition was crucial in holding the government accountable, the formation of the people's assembly was not good for the country.

Moses Kuria further urged residents to take an active role in pushing for development projects rather than just voting.

"In Mt Kenya, we vote overwhelmingly but developments are not initiated compared to the rate at which we vote. Our work is not only voting."

"Why is it that the people who lit bonfires and destroying property have better roads than here? It is time we embarked on development projects," Kuria said.

He was accompanied by Tigania East MP Josphat Gichunge who thanked the residents for voting for Uhuru overwhelmingly and promised to initiate development in the region.

Earlier on Tuesday, Moses Kuria asked Kenyans to pray for the opposition leader claiming that Odinga had totally lost it for stating that he would be sworn in as President on December 12.

The MP stated that it would be logical for the NASA leader to check himself into a mental hospital.
