Wiper Leader Rejects Plan to Inaugurate Raila

Wiper Party Deputy Leader Farah Maalim on Monday opposed a plan to inaugurate Opposition Leader Raila Odinga on 12th December 2017.

Speaking during an interview at NTV's am live Show, Mr Maalim stated that the swearing-in of another President would only result to chaos.

"As someone with a legal background, I will like to uphold the law. I have not been part of any process that is arranging for the swearing in of Raila Odinga. I will hesitate to endorse any 'swearing in' because that is a recipe for chaos," he stated.

He further noted that even though the law might be unfair sometimes, it should be respected at all times.

"I applauded Raila the last time he said that he was not going to be sweared-in because we have to respect the law," he stated.

The former National Assembly Deputy Speaker explained that instead of inaugurating Mr Odinga NASA should embrace other mechanisms to champion their reform agenda.

"We need to sit back and come up with other methods to force our reform agenda. Swearing-in of another President is not a solution. The law is the law.

"I have a strong commitment that changes should be made but in the right way to bring an end to electoral impunity in Kenya," he explained.

Meanwhile, Mr Odinga on Saturday stated that President Kenyatta's regime will not last long.

Speaking at Sidindi, Ugunja constituency during the burial service of Collins Owino who was reportedly killed during Mr Odinga's homecoming, the former Prime Minister announced that he will not sit back and watch as Kenyans suffer in the hands of Jubilee.

He mentioned that he together with other leaders will work to ensure that "Kenyans get to Canan".
