Uhuru Announces 3 Things He Will Fix in His 2nd Term

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday evening announced that the main focus of his second term will be to transform the lives of Kenyans.

Speaking at Githurai Kimbo in Kiambu County, President Kenyatta assured the residents that he will devote all his energy to ensuring that Kenyans live a better life.

He explained that all his priority projects will start being implemented immediately so that Kenyans start enjoying the benefits of his administration.

Regarding what he would do for Githurai, the Head of State singled out rehabilitation of roads, construction of a market and provision of clean water as some of the projects that will be addressed first.

“We have promised to rehabilitate this road, to construct a market and ensure you have a steady supply of clean water – and this is a promise we intend to fulfill,” he stated.

President Kenyatta mentioned that he would engage Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu and his Nairobi counterpart Mike Sonko to ensure that the promises are delivered.

“We will ensure adequate resources are allocated to transform this area for the benefit of all Kenyans living here,” the Head of State explained.

The President made the remarks on his way back to Nairobi after attending the funeral of the late Mrs Charity Gathoni Muigai Kenyatta who was buried at her farm in Githurai Kimbo.

The late Mama Gathoni was a relative to the President. First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta also attended the funeral.

This was the President's first visit to the area after his inauguration last week.
