Uhuru's Message to Kenyans Ahead of Christmas

President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday wished Kenyans a merry Christmas.

In a statement, the Head of State called upon  all  Kenyans to remain united and embrace the spirit of brotherhood during the festivities.

"This Christmas, we come together once again as families as friends as a nation to celebrate the redemption of that promise of unity.

"Our families are grateful for your prayers, your support and our friendship throughout the last year. We in our turn pray that your Christmas and new year may be filled with God blessings.

"Merry Christmas," Uhuru's message read in part.

Meanwhile, President Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta last week hosted various children at State House.

The children were drawn from various children homes, State House staff and Police officers families.

According to Senior Director of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President Mr Dennis Itumbi, the event was the President's early Christmas gift to the children.

"State House is today a Playground for children drawn from various Children homes, State House staff and Police officers families, early Christmas party courtesy of President Uhuru Kenyatta," Itumbi stated.

The children engaged in various playing activities and enjoyed entertainment from comedians and musicians.
