Do This 1 Thing to Create Your Legacy - Raila to Uhuru

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on Monday highlighted one of the things President Uhuru Kenyatta should do to create his legacy as he serves his final term in office.

Speaking to Jeff Koinange and Jalang'o on Hot96 fm, Mr Odinga stated that the President has a great opportunity to create a legacy if he agrees to dialogue.

“He has a historic opportunity to break away from the past and create a new Kenya. We are willing to work together in this regard," Odinga noted.

Mr Odinga stated that Kenyatta should agree to a dialogue process that would enable Kenya to break away from the past.

During the interview, the NASA leader jokingly commented that he feels like he has just turned "18 years", when asked by the duo how it felt to have turned 73.

He also remarked: "Kenyatta was exactly my age today when he was coming from exile, and there was a lot of hope for the country at that time. I see that hope written on the face of many Kenyans today."

The former Prime Minister stated that he was excited after turning 73, adding that it reminded him of the day he received Jomo Kenyatta from detention in 1961.

In the interview, Rosemary, who has since been silent since she fell ill before the August 8 general election, interjected the call wishing Jeff Koinange a happy birthday as he shares the birth date with her father, Mr Odinga.

Mr Odinga spent the better part of his birthday in Kakamega where he was launching the Western region People's Assembly rally.
