3 Things NASA Principals Agreed After Crisis Meeting

New details have emerged claiming that the National Super Alliance co-principals on Monday made three resolutions after a five-hour crisis meeting.

According to the Standard, the Opposition Leaders agreed to retain the coalition's parliamentary leadership as currently constituted.

The NASA principals; Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetang'ula are reported to have also resolved to continue with Mr Odinga's inauguration that has been scheduled for end month.

Lastly, the issue of the dialogue was also discussed and a conclusion was made that the talks with Jubilee should be anchored on electoral justice and expanding the Executive after a constitutional amendment.

Reports from other sources, however, noted that the leaders did not fully agree on the sharing of positions and resolved to discuss the matter another time.

"They discussed the need to have structured dialogue with Jubilee over electoral justice and the need to form a government of national unity. This is what must be on the agenda for dialogue," The Standard reported.

The principals are scheduled to meet again today to proceed with the talks.

The talks were organised following sharp divisions within the coalition regarding sharing of positions in parliament.

Last week, Wiper Party led by Mr Musyoka claimed that they had been shortchanged and demanded a revocation of the nominations.

"There has been disquiet in NASA over sharing of House leadership positions. We demand a revocation. We have instructed the party leader Kalonzo to get the positions shared as earlier agreed.

"It is not a light matter. Our members have expressed strong sentiments that when Mr Kalonzo was away, the committee positions were not shared as agreed," Wiper chairman Governor Kivutha Kibwana stated.
