I Was Offered Igathe's Job- Miguna Miguna Reveals

The self-proclaimed general of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Miguna Miguna on Tuesday morning revealed that he had been offered the Nairobi Deputy Governor position but rejected it.

Speaking during a panel discussion in the amlive Show, Miguna explained that he had been approached to deputise Governor Mike Sonko but turned down the offer after which the outgoing deputy Polycarp Igathe was chosen.

Addressing why he rejected the position, the lawyer explained that he could just not accept to work under Governor Sonko.

"No, I cannot (deputise Sonko). I was approached to do so before Igathe. How do you deputise someone who cannot tell his left from his right?

"People skirt around this issue. The man was convicted and sentenced to jail for more than 6 months and ought not to have been allowed to run," he stated.

The NRM general reiterated his earlier remarks regarding Opposition Leader Raila Odinga's inauguration stating that the swearing in will happen whether the former Prime Minister likes it or not.

"I have no apologies to make. Raila will be sworn in. If he won't he must be prepared to face the wrath of Kenyans.

"Kenyans who were maimed injured, Kenyans who did not vote on 26th October, Raila Odinga cannot abandon them now," Miguna explained.

The show also had Prof Herman Manyora, former MP Jakoyo Midiwo, and Senators; Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho) and Kimani Wamatangi (Kiambu).
