Ezekiel Mutua Reveals Friday Night Broadcast He Plans to Raid

Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has sent a warning to Citizen TV's Friday night show 10 Over 10, concerning what he has termed as luring kids into immorality.

On a Saturday Facebook post, the KFCB boss cautioned the hosts that the Board was monitoring the show and outlined an elaborate plan to raid a live broadcast.

"We are preparing everything including getting a search warrant, recorded evidence of past inappropriate episodes and warning letters.

"When we strike we shall be doing it legally and will pursue the matter to the end," Dr Mutua warned.

According to Ezekiel Mutua, past surveillance had uncovered that the live audience chosen by show organisers is allegedly comprised of minors who are then exposed to adult content.

"It's a great platform being misused to lure kids into immorality. Where do those youths go after midnight when Willis Raburu and Joey Muthengi have turned them on? After twerking and misbehaving live on TV at midnight what happens thereafter?

" If they start bringing underage kids and staging the obscenities they were bringing before our warning, we will still raid and stop the show live," Mutua's post read in part.

The KFCB boss commended the show hosts for a well-moderated broadcast aired on January 19 while revealing that he had planned a raid on the said date.

"10/10 Show on Citizen TV was much better last night. I guess they knew that we were watching. They must have gotten wind that we had alerted police in Kilimani to help us stage a raid and arrest the hosts and the guests to record a statement.

"If they behave like they did last night then we can even partner with them to promote talent among the youth," the post read in part.
