National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on Saturday treated his followers to a commemorative video of his father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga as he marked 24 years since the former Vice President died.
The video posted on Facebook was captioned: "Remembering my father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga who passed away on this day 24 years ago."
In the video, the former VP was giving an address concerning the role of media in fostering development in Africa.
"The press must be a champion of the social, political and economic development of the people.

"The press must be involved in championing the correct direction of development in Africa," Jaramogi stated in part.
Jaramogi's address concluded with the former VP expressing discontent with how the press of the time had depicted him in headlines.
"When there is something good about me or about somebody whom they have selected not to publicise then that they will play down and even put it in a hidden corner somewhere.
"But when something comes bad about Odinga they will make the headline," Jaramogi stated in the file footage.
Jaramogi is credited with coining the phrase "Not Yet Uhuru" which is the title of his autobiography written in the 1980s during his time under house arrest.
He died on January 20, 1994, of a heart attack. Here is the video that was shared by the NASA leader.
Followers of the former Prime Minister joined him in commemorating the death of the Kenyan leader with messages encouraging Raila that he was the one to carry on his father's legacy.
