How We Will Deal With Raila After Taking Oath - Jubilee

The Jubilee Party leadership on Tuesday explained how it will deal with the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga after his swearing-in as the People's President of the Republic of Kenya.

Led by Vice Chairman David Murathe, the leaders stated that they would not engage with the former Prime Minister adding that his oath has no impact on the nation.

“In fact, we will not even be bothered with him by trying to arrest him or giving him attention. We will focus on what is important. Development!”

“Everyone knows the person who has power and is recognized globally. We cant be in politics throughout the years,” Murathe stated.

Murathe further divulged that those counties that passed the People's Assemblies motion stand dissolved adding: "You cannot pass a motion that you don’t recognize elected leaders and want to represent yourself directly."

He noted that the Jubilee administration would stick to their four-point agenda which is low-cost houses, access to reliable healthcare, food security and meaningful jobs for the youths.

When asked to comment on the Tuesday event, Jubilee Secretary-General, Raphael Tuju, stated: "I have nothing to say about the swearing-in ceremony but laugh.”

Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP), Benjamin Washiali, on his part, pointed out that the fete was “inconsequential, unconstitutional and irrelevant”.

"We leave everything to the police to carry out investigations for prosecutions so that Raila does not take Kenyans for granted.

“In fact, the people whom Raila has taken for a ride for a long time are his supporters who should join us in Jubilee so that we can discuss and join together in national development. Not chaos," he noted.
