Miguna's Message to Matiang'i After TJ Kajwang's Arrest

Nairobi lawyer, Miguna Miguna, who was part of the legal team that oversaw the swearing-in of NASA leader Raila Odinga, on Wednesday stated that he was not afraid of Interior CS Fred Matiang'i's actions.

This came after Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang' was arrested by flying squad officers.

"Comrades, Patriots & #NRM-K soldier's: The General is safe & sound right here in Nairobi. We aren't afraid of the despots.

"It wouldn't be the first or last time I would be facing an ILLEGAL ARREST OR DETENTION," stated Miguna on his twitter account.

Kajwang' was picked up outside Milimani Law Courts and taken to Nairobi PCIO near Integrity Centre.

The legislator, alongside National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna, on Tuesday witnessed administration of Odinga's oath as the People's President.

NASA leaders, who went to demand the release of Kajwang, were teargassed by police who dispersed them after arriving at the PCIO where the MP was being held.

CS Matiang'i on Wednesday revealed that intelligence reports indicated that there was a planned massacre of Kenyans during NASA's swearing-in ceremony on January 30.

Speaking during a press briefing, Dr Matiang'i intimated that government surveillance uncovered the sinister plan on Monday necessitating prompt action to curb the incident.

"The day before yesterday (Monday), we had credible and incontrovertible intelligence that criminal elements operating under the banner of the hitherto so-called NRM and hiding behind NASA had ferried youth groups to Nairobi, some of them armed to an illegal function at Uhuru Park.

"This was a well-choreographed effort intended to use the excuse of a possible conflict with law enforcement agents to occasion a massacre of our people and shed blood of innocent people in this country.
