National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga's wife Ida Odinga on Wednesday explained why she couldn't attend the swearing-in ceremony held at Uhuru Park.
Ida explained that she got occupied by a family emergency involving her daughter without providing many details regarding the whereabouts of her sick daughter, only stating that she was responding well to treatment.
Ida further acknowledged that her absence was subject to questioning as she was expected to be by his husband during his inauguration.

She urged people not no read too much into her absence from the fete further admitting that Pauline Musyoka and Tessie Mudavadi, the spouses of NASA co-principals, were also absent.
NASA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetang'ula were also conspicuously absent sparking speculation they may have ditched the Opposition.
Regarding the swearing in of Odinga, she stated: "I think the whole exercise was done expeditiously, with tension here and there. They had my moral support,"
She further expressed her disappointment on how NASA leaders were treated by the Police ahead of the inauguration fete.
"Over the years, my husband's political philosophies had adopted normative frameworks to entrench the rights of citizens," she noted.
