Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday spoke out against the National Super Alliance (NASA) swearing-in of Opposition leader Raila Odinga as the people's president.
In a warning to the Opposition leaders, DP Ruto stated that the time for politicking was over and promised that the nature of politics the Opposition had taken would no longer be tolerated.
"Mambo ya sarakasi na vitimbi na sinema na hekaya ya Abunuwasi, siasa hiyo haitakuwa katika taifa letu tena (Theatrics, drama and the old fables of trickery will no longer be part of Kenyan politics), I want to promise you.
"This is because we are done with the season for that. Those who want to engage in political banter must wait for the time to come and we will engage them on this.

"Even as the Bible says, there is a time for everything and right now is the time to serve the people of Kenya. When the time for politics comes we will engage them because we are experts in politics," DP Ruto stated.
The DP's strong words came during his tour of Kiambu and Murang'a counties where he launched a number of road construction projects.
DP Ruto was accompanied by other Jubilee party elected officials from the region including Murang'a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria, Senate Deputy Speaker Kithure Kindiki and Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria.
"Kenyans now know the difference between Jubilee and NASA. Jubilee is all about development and NASA is only about swearing-in from Monday to Monday," the deputy Speaker stated.
The Gatundu legislator added: "I heard that Kalonzo was supposed to go there then his phone apparently went off and he couldn't be reached.
"Surely the deputy president cannot afford a power bank? They shouldn't play with Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta, they are the same ones you knew, these ones will finish you thoroughly," the legislator warned.
