Gideon Moi Holds Meeting With Alfred Mutua

A section of Kenyans online expressed their support for Baringo Senator Gideon Moi's 2022 Presidential bid if Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua will also be on the ticket.

This is after the Governor posted photos of a meeting he had with Moi, stating that they were discussing "the future of Kenya".

Mutua took to Twitter on Wednesday to share his images while meeting with the Kenya African National Union (KANU) party leader, sparking rumours of a possible 2022 tag-team.

He stated: "With Senator @MoiGideon comparing notes on the State of the Nation and the future of Kenya. Great exchange of ideas."

Both leaders have previously expressed their desire to run for President in 2022.

One user commented: "2022 Gideon President and you will be his deputy"

Another told Mutua that they would not allow him to settle for any position in 2022 other than President and Deputy President.

"A picture speaks a thousand words #Gameplan2022," another commented.

KANU and the Mutua-led Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) both endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta as he sought re-election in 2017.

Mutua has been a strong critic of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, and recently blasted him for missing the January 30 swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the 'People's President'.

"On the other hand, it is now crystal clear to all that Kalonzo Musyoka has over and over again proven he can never be depended on. Trust him at your own peril," he stated at the time.
