Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has alleged that Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, and his Kikuyu counterpart, Kimani Ichung’wa, played a role during his arrest and detention.
The self-declared National Resistance Movement general accused the two of mobilizing and arming the outlawed Mungiki militia to bar his lawyers from accessing Githunguri Police Station where he was being held.
Miguna, who accused the two politicians of being xenophobic, wrote in a publication by The Star on Sunday that "they were baying for my blood".
"Meanwhile, xenophobic politicians like Moses Kuria and Kimani Ichung’wa had mobilized and armed the Mungiki militia who were by that time burning vehicle car tires on the roads leading out of the police station," Miguna stated.

After being arrested from his Runda home where the police allegedly used explosives to gain access, Miguna maintained he was treated ‘like a beast’ throughout his detention.
“I was abducted from my house by people who did not identify themselves as the police and used a detonated device to gain access to my home,” Miguna had earlier on stated.
He further alleged that when his lawyers and supporters left the police station at Githunguri, he was locked up again in a tiny cell.
In the article, Miguna also narrates details of his deportation to Canada noting how he was hurriedly whisked to the plane as soon as he had settled to eat his "fish, sukumawiki and ugali".
He further accused the security officers who were with him at the airport on the night he was deported of threatening to murder him.

The lawyer, who was arrested after administering an oath to opposition leader Raila Odinga, was deported to Canada on February 6 after the government alleged he denounced his Kenyan citizenry and failed to reapply.
