Miguna Miguna's Reaction After Court Revoked his Deportation

Self-proclaimed General of the outlawed National Resistance Movement (NRM), Miguna Miguna, on Thursday took to Twitter to convey his reactions soon after the High Court declared his deportation illegal.

Miguna shared a series of tweets hailing the ruling and reiterating the Opposition wing's commitment to upholding the Kenyan Constitution.

The Canada-based lawyer further thanked his team of lawyers for their efforts toward the ruling.

Here are the tweets Miguna shared on Thursday morning.

Lawyers who were present at the Milimani Law Courts continued to carry out their yellow ribbon campaign against the defiance of court orders.

Led by Charles Kanjama and Nelson Havi, the lawyers expounded that they were raising awareness on the need to uphold the rule of law in Kenya through respecting court orders.

They kicked off the campaign when Inspector General Joseph Boinnet and DCI boss George Kinoti failed to appear in court to produce Miguna.

Despite subsequent orders to appear in court, Boinnet and Kinoti have not honoured summons issued to them by Judge Kimaru maintaining they are attending a security meeting.

The Director of Public Prosecutions on Wednesday filed an application with the court requesting the Judge to excuse the security officials from appearing in court as they attend to matters of national importance.

Netizens also shared various comments on the ruling with some supporting it while others expressed discontent with the court.
