Kenyan supporters of self-proclaimed General, Miguna Miguna, were on Thursday excited at the news that his deportation had been declared illegal.

Anticipating his return from Canada, the politician's enthusiasts conveyed plans to have him succeed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as the leader of the Opposition.

Using the hashtag #MigunaMiguna, proponents of the alleged succession plan observed that Miguna had demonstrated courage and resolve to oppose President Uhuru Kenyatta.

High Court Judge Luka Kimaru, while ruling on a case involving the politician, stated that the Government's action to deport Miguna had contravened the law and orders issued from his bench.

While responding to the court orders, Miguna reiterated that the Opposition's pursuit of the supremacy of the law had been reinforced by the ruling.

Fellow National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Simba Arati (Dagoretti North lawmaker), shared news of the court ruling while calling on supporters to prepare to receive back Miguna Miguna.
