Miguna Miguna Reveals Jubilee's Plan to Declare a State of Emergency

National Resistance Movement (NRM) self-declared General Miguna Miguna on Saturday revealed Jubilee party's plan to declare a State of Emergency.

Through his Twitter account, the self-proclaimed General of NRM stated that Uhuru Kenyatta led team is looking for excuses to declare a state of emergency in the country.

He reiterated that the country's judicial system must fearlessly guard the Constitution and ensure that all court orders are protected.

Miguna further added that he will lead the resistance movement into an armed struggle if the Government declares such an emergency.

The outspoken lawyer stated this while commenting on the judges and magistrate's remarks to defend the constitution and to uphold the rule of law.

Through their association, they admitted that there are instances where people get dissatisfied with outcomes of the decision but stated that law provides a way forward in such circumstances.

The group stated they had resolved to continue dispensing justice even in the wake of a recent trend of disobeying court orders.

“The membership of Kenya Judges and Magistrates Association is resolute that we shall uphold the rule of law, steadfastly defend the Constitution and diligently dispense justice without fear or favor,” KMJA Secretary-General Derrick Kuto stated.

Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnett and Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti were put on the spot after they ignored High Court Judge Luka Kimaru's order to release Miguna.
