Starehe MP Charles Njagua Draws Attention After Liking Tweet Accusing him of Land Grabbing

Starehe Member of Parliament MP, Charles Njagua, on Tuesday drew attention online after he liked a tweet accusing him of grabbing space along Plainview road, South B in Starehe Constituency and putting up a car wash bearing his name.

The land grabbing accusations were first brought up by one user identified as Brenda Wairimu who put the first time parliamentarian on the spot over land grasping within his constituency.

She claimed that Starehe constituents were battling with the Jubilee MP's attempt to cease their land.

"Excuse me @RealJaguarKenya did the people of Starehe vote for you so that you could steal their land? Shame on you. My neighborhood is currently fighting its MP as he tries to grab the land behind it. Please RT to make sure this does not happen," she wrote.

Another user echoed this statement adding that the popular musician started the menace ahead of his election into Parliament in 2017.

In response, the Starehe MP liked the latter's tweet, an action that created uncertainties over his intentions in seemingly endorsing the reply.

One user responded to Jaguar's action lightly stating that he had "bookmarked it for later use."

In reaction to the land grabbing allegations, one user commented sarcastically stating: "Tano tena! @RealJaguarKenya congratulations for fulfilling your promise to the people.Grab, Enrich and Opress. Si uchawi ni maombi."

Nonetheless, a section of the netizens jumped to Jaguar's defense: "Before people start tweeting and retweeting....where is proof of ownership? Proof of complaints to NLC? what proof do you have or you just buying stories to post around?"

"Tell your neighbour to tweet themselves. Hatutaki mushene ya wamama wa plot hapa twitter (We don't want mere gossips on Twitter)," another user wrote.

Here are some reactions.
