Video of Eric Omondi That has Shocked Kenyans

Celebrated comedian, Eric Omondi, was on Wednesday afternoon on the receiving end after a video emerged online showing him swimming unclothed alongside children.

Kenyans did not, however, take the video lightly as they gave their views regarding the clip.

Most tweeps were outraged claiming that it is wrong for him to have posted such a video that featured children in it.

The Consumer Federation of Kenya (Cofek) was among the first people condemning the video asserting that Eric had crossed the red line.

The organization also stated: "He has crossed the red line of indecent exposure and must be arrested, and put under medical test to ascertain whether its deliberate or if he is unwell."

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communication, Phillip Etale, also called for the KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua to act regarding the video since it portrays "comedy gone sour".

Despite a majority of netizens attacking the popular comedian, there are a number of people who defended him noting that it is the ultimate sign of freedom.

"Am jealous of Eric Omondi... That's true freedom. Concurring Shame, fear and ego," posted Kenyan artist Juliani.

KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua joined others in condemning Eric's video stating that, "Eric Omondi's video is the evidence that some of our so-called celebrities are vain and are obsessed with sexualisation of content at the expense of decency."

However, it is reported that upon the emergence of the video, Eric made fun of the much-celebrated film Black Panther.
