Flying Squad chief Said Mohammed has been named as the new Kilifi County Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss in a new round of changes affecting several high-ranking police officers.
DCI chief George Kinoti has also moved Nairobi Criminal Investigations boss Ireri Kamwende to DCI Headquarters along Kiambu Road.
He will be replaced by Gideon Kibunja from Rift valley.
Former Special Crime Prevention Unit boss Noah Katumo has also been moved to Nyanza where he will serve as a Divisional Commander.
AIG Henry Ondieki, who had recently been deployed to Eastern as DCI Chief, has now been transferred to police headquarters.

The transfer of Mohammed comes weeks after it was revealed that Kinoti had initiated a major overhaul of the dreaded Flying Squad unit.
Officers who served in the unit, officially known as the Anti Motor Vehicle Theft Unit, were ordered to surrender their firearms for an audit.
The firearms were to be marked to ensure that they were not wrongly used before officers repossessed them.
A notice sent on January 29 also asked the officers to surrender items including handcuffs and their uniforms at the headquarters.
The dismantling of the unit came after many of its officers were linked to cases of armed robberies and carjackings.
