Embakasi East MP Babu Owino's Urgent Appeal to All NASA MPs

Embakasi East Member of Parliament, Babu Owino, on Tuesday made an urgent request to all Members of Parliament under the National Super Alliance (NASA) outfit.

Posting on his social media page, Babu called on the legislators to push for a motion in Parliament that seeks compensation for the families of the "post-election violence martyrs."

"In Parliament, we must push an allocation from the restorative justice fund this year for their families," he asserted.

Babu, further, urged: "Let's not forget justice for the families of these NASA martyrs. Let us speak up for them and fight for them."

He added that the lawmakers ought to speak up for them as well as fight for them to get justice.

This post comes after NASA chief Raila Odinga met with President Uhuru Kenyatta at Harambee House where the duo pledged to unite the country.

The meeting stirred a lot of reactions as many saw it as a positive step towards the restoration of the country which was deeply divided after the August 2017 General Election.

Following the turn of events, Babu noted that he would also be meeting his Gatundu South counterpart Moses Kuria.

However, he called on supporters to prepare themselves for anything, purporting that the meeting could as well not end in harmony.

"Moses Kuria and I will hold a joint press statement very soon. Our supporters are advised to put on helmets and rubber shoes in case we don't agree.  #UhuruRailaTalks," exclaimed the outspoken parliamentarian.
