The topic "CCTV" was among the topics that sparked debates after Daily Nation reported that Environment Principal Secretary Charles Sunkuli had conveyed plans to install CCTV surveillance in forests.

Environment Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko later came out to deny knowledge of the plan to install the surveillance gadgets.

"CS Tobiko is neither aware nor has he approved the rollout of CCTV in any forest.

The section, which had been repaired by the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), destabilized on Monday morning paralysing activities along the road.

It was later repaired and KeNHA operatives noted that contractors had been stationed in the affected area to monitor any further shifts.
