"Hahaha. I like this man! AG Paul Kihara speaks so well, and even quotes from plays. MPs are in shock. They have never heard such a mix of knowledge, articulation and excellence in public speaking," one user noted

Another stated: "The vetting of Justice Paul Kihara Mwangi's going on now. From his presentation, he has convinced me he is the right man for the job. He is a man of integrity, a strongly religious person, visionary, just and incorruptible. Wish him well."

"The vetting panel on AG nominee Paul Kihara look like students in a lecture hall and Paul Kihara is the Lecturer," another conveyed.

During the vetting, he promised to ease the access to justice while ensuring that the three arms of government work in harmony and retain their independence.

"My job is to be truthful. Whether the advise I give is taken or not is another matter, but I will not bend the law, not for this position, not for any other position.

"I have constituted thousands of benches. Not once have I ever been accused of doing it underhand. In my 16 years as a judge, not once have I ever been accused of taking a bribe," he told the panel.

He stated that he had networked with people of different communities and different religion, and would work to deliver a Kenya for all people.

Justice Kihara was nominated for the post of Office of Attorney General of Kenya by President Uhuru Kenyatta on February 13 following the resignation of Githu Muigai.
