Activist Okiya Omtatah on Friday lashed out at Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i over his attacks towards the judiciary.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Mr Omtatah hit out at the CS for criticising the Judiciary over the recent court orders issued regarding politician Miguna Miguna's saga.
"The CS did not look normal to me when he appeared before the parliamentary committee.
"Matiang'i need to sober up. He is too drunk with power," noted Omtatah.

"Matiang'i talked to the legislators as though he was high on drugs or something,"stated Omtatah.
The activist had also mentioned to the Star that the CS intimidated members of the committee during his submission of a report on the events surrounding Miguna Miguna's deportation.
"He is totally unhinged to be making such reckless statements before such an important forum. His utterances were basically insults.
"Matiang'i thinks he is a small god. He trivialized serious issues on the rule of law," Omtatah exclaimed.
Additionally, he highlighted that the former Education CS's statements were reckless and he intends to file a case seeking to declare the CS unfit to hold office.
On Tuesday, Matiang'i appeared before a parliamentary committee justifying the move by the government to remove Miguna claiming that he was not deported but just removed since he did not have a valid passport.
He accused Judiciary of issuing irrelevant orders and full of ‘click of criminals’ and judges who collude with activists to embarrass the government.
“There is a certain clique of judicial officers has gotten into ‘unholy relationship’ with a clique of Opposition activists to derail the government,” Mating'i told the Committee on National Security.
