Commotion After Ezra Chiloba, CJ David Maraga Attend Burial

There was a commotion during the burial of the father of Court of Appeal judge Patrick Kiage which was attended by Chief Justice David Maraga after mourners demanded they be addressed by embattled IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba.

While introducing dignitaries among the CJ Maraga and Chiloba during the burial of his late father George Ogeto, the public went wild and demanded the electoral agency CEO be given a chance to speak.

The crowd chanted Chiloba's name demanding he be allowed to address them since he is their son an action that prompted justice Kiage to invite the IEBC CEO an opportunity to speak.

There was more cheering when Chiloba walked to where the CJ was seated and shook hands before he started his speech.

Chiloba condoled the family and eulogized the late Ogeto as a person who supported the education of unprivileged children in the area.

“My family was poor. It was a big burden to raise fee and I used to receive financial support from justice Kiage. I have a personal respect for this family,” Chiloba eulogized.

Drama, later on, ensued when the master of ceremony grabbed a microphone from the area Member of County Assembly Sarah Lubano to stop her from politicking.

Lubano had started to sell the 2022 gubernatorial bid of Kiminini Member of Parliament Chris Wamalwa when the MC stepped in and snatched the microphone arguing that speakers had been cautioned against politics.

Meanwhile, Chiloba has gained a lot of support in Trans Nzoia County with several groups of people, visiting his home for advice.
