Kenyans were on Tuesday engaged in a number of discussions on Twitter including a new project launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta's niece, Nana Gecaga.

Ms Gecaga, the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) CEO, announced that the facility would begin to offer free space for Kenyan artists to exhibit their artwork and sell.

The CEO conveyed that the initiative would go and a new set of four artists would be picked to showcase after every fortnight.

On the topic, "KICC" netizens shared the news encouraging artists to take advantage of the opportunity.

EALA MP Simon Mbugua

East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament (MP) Simon Mbugua trended on Tuesday after he was arrested in connection to the assault of ex-NCBDA Chair Timothy Muriuki.

Mr Mbugua was accused of sending his men to go attack Mr Muriuki during a press conference held at the Boulevard Hotel. 

Social media users seemed to support the move to arrest the legislator.
