Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Royal Wedding Officiated by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby

The man who brought together President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga is has wed the Royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby officiated the Royal wedding at Windsor Castle in England.

During his last visit to Kenya, the Archbishop saw President Kenyatta and NASA's Odinga meet for the first time after the divisive repeat Presidential Election of October 26, 2017.

The bishop had come to preside over celebrations marking the first centenary of the Anglican Church of Kenya at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.

The NASA leader had boycotted the repeat election that saw Uhuru declared the President-elect by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Speaking after meeting the Archbishop, Raila stated: "Spiritual guidance is of utmost importance at this juncture in our nation's history." 

"I value greatly the wise counsel that Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury and the principal leader of the Anglican Church, imparted when I paid a courtesy call on him," Raila stated.

During the visit, the Archbishop paid Uhuru a visit at State House Nairobi voicing that: "I encourage Kenyans to reconcile, maintain peace and remain united."

Speaking about the wedding, Welby stated: "I'm really, really excited, but also really, really nervous about dropping the rings."

Prince Harry, the groom, is a member of the British royal family while Meghan Markle, the bride, is an American actress.

Archbishop Welby has a rich history with Kenya, having taught a Harambee school at Karatina, Nyeri County, in his younger days.
