Boni Khalwale Urges William Ruto to Work With Wetangula and Mudavadi

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has called for Deputy President William Ruto to align himself with Western leaders in readiness for the 2022 presidential election.

Speaking during a bullfighting event at Malinya village in Ikolomani Constituency, the Ford Kenya deputy party leader advised DP Ruto to join forces with ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.

“Uhuru’s time in office is coming to an end and the only seats worthy of Ruto’s name are that of the president or the vice president. As you prepare for the journey to Statehouse Mr Ruto, you should turn to your neighbours. Nandi is not that far from here.

“If you come to us as the presidential candidate of your single party, then rest assured that ANC and Ford Kenya will merge into a single party as well. After this, all three of you will then be left to decide on who will run for the presidency and who will become the deputy president,’’ Khalwale stated.

He had further urged DP Ruto to join hands with Wetangula given that they were brought up by poor parents.

"Ruto chanuka. Wewe ni mtoto wa mama alikua anauza busaa na wewe mwenyewe ulikua unauza kuku (Ruto you need to be smart. You are the son of a woman who used to sell traditional brew and you worked in the chicken sales business).

"Mimi ni mtoto wa chang'aa brewer na Wetangula ni mtoto ya mama alikua anauza busaa (I am the son of a woman who used to make the illicit brew while Wetangula's mother used to sell traditional brew too)," he advised.

Khalwale further opined that the DP should join hands with Mudavadi and Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

In his view, such an alliance cannot be easily defeated even by a team led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.

Khalwale has been pushing for the merging of ANC and Ford-Kenya to form a formidable party so as to have more to bargain with on the national platform.
