Miguna Miguna Gets in Heated Argument With Jeff Koinange Over Sonko

Self-styled National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna got into a heated argument with Citizen TV's Jeff Koinange on his show, JKL, on Wednesday evening over his nomination as Nairobi County Deputy Governor.

As Koinange sought to get a definitive answer on whether Miguna could work with Governor Mike Sonko, Miguna got agitated as he demanded to address his deportation and the court orders issued in his favor.

Miguna maintained that he would make anouncements on who he would work with once he was back in the country.

He dismissed Jeff's assertion that everybody was interested to know his decision before tearing into the presenter whom he accused of looking for diversonary tactics and making derogatory remarks against him.

"Today, that was not the purpose of the interview..Not everyone (wants to know). Everyone includes me and I don't want to know...

"We were doing this interview because you made derogatory remarks about me, you claimed that I was not a Kenyan citizen and I wanted you to prove today where you got that information from," he affirmed.

Jeff accused Miguna of beating around the bush on the issue despite having built a reputation as 'a straight shooter'.

Eventually, Miguna flatly refused to any question on the matter, stating that both he and Sonko were Kenyans.

Miguna vowed not to regularize his citizenship as authorities had suggested, declaring that he never ceased being a Kenyan citizen.

"I cannot apply for something I already have. I never surrendered my Kenyan passport. I never gave up my citizenship," he noted.
