Three students from Stephjoy Boys High school in Limuru will be charged with murder.
The three are among eleven others who were arrested in connection to the dormitory arson in their school.
Speaking before the Parliamentary Committee on Education Limuru Criminal Investigation Officer Mwenda Etheiba said investigations have indicated that the three stand accused of the offence, the Nation reports.
The suspects are set to be arraigned in court anytime from tomorrow.
Detectives also revealed that the school’s dormitory does not meet the required safety standards.
Meanwhile, the Committee on education led by Murang’a Women Rep Sabina Chege, directed the police, the education department and the public works department to submit their reports regarding the fire incident.
The committee will probe the matter and make recommendations before tabling a report in parliament.
Three students died from the dormitory tragedy.
