Kanze Dena Makes Maiden State House Briefing [VIDEO]

The First female State House Deputy Spokesperson Kanze Dena on Wednesday made her maiden briefing at State House, Nairobi.

Neatly dressed in a navy blue trouser suit and matching sky blue shirt, Kanze shot straight and square as she briefed the nation on President Uhuru Kenyatta's itinerary in the coming days.

Speaking exclusively in her fluent Swahili for which she was famed for as a Citizen TV news anchor, director, and producer, Kanze iterated that the Head of State will be travelling to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Thursday for the IGAD meeting.

"Katika kuhakikisha kwamba amani imeafikiwa katika  taifa wa Sudan Kusini, Rais pamoja na viongozi wengine wako katika mstari wa mbele kuhakikisha mkataba wa amani umeafikiwa (In ensuring that peace is restored in South Sudan, the President and other leaders are committed to ensuring a lasting solution)."

Besides, the president will be travelling to Kajiado on Friday touring the Second Phase of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) Project that is en route to Naivasha.

Kanze who also doubles as the the Deputy Head of the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) further indicated that President Uhuru will also open a Summit by the Council of Governors to entrench devolution.

"The Big Four Agenda cannot succeed without the cooperation between the national and county governments hence the president looks forward to working closely with all the 47 governors," she noted.

Kanze also noted that a major delegation from the United States led by Former President Barack Obama will be visiting the country in the near future.

"The delegation will focus on fostering investment, trade relations between the two countries, and will focus on investment opportunities in the country," Kanze revealed.

The State House Deputy Spokesperson further revealed that the delegation will not only include political leaders but also representatives from major companies concluding that: "This will be a major step towards creating more employment opportunities for the youth."
