Looking elegant in her navy blue trouser suit, Dena maintained the Ksh3.0 trillion budget presented last week in Parliament by Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich was pro-poor and aimed at helping the government achieve its plans on the big four agenda.

She further stated the President had outlined a prosperous development plan during his second term and the budget will help him achieve that.

The Statehouse deputy spokesperson also disclosed the president’s itinerary stating that he was set to travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Thursday to attend Intergovernmental Authority for Development (IGAD) meeting.

Kanze maintained the meeting between heads of states will focus on strategies to ensure peace was restored in war-torn South Sudan.

When asked whether Opposition leader Raila Odinga was invited by the Head of State to the IGAD meeting, Kanze stated the event involved only the presidents.
