Casualties Reported in Accident at Kibarani Area in Mombasa County

Two people were on Monday killed and seven others injured in an accident that occurred at Kibarani area in Changamwe, Mombasa county.

Confirming the incident, Changamwe OCPD Peter Onamwa stated that accident was caused by an oil tanker that lost control and rammed into two 14-seater matatus.

Coast regional traffic commander Emmanuel Okanda disclosed that the injured had been rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

"The injured have been rushed to Coast Provincial General Hospital," he stated.

Reports indicate that the matatu driver and the conductor died in the early morning crash.
