Kenya national fifteens rugby team Assistant Coach Murray Roulston resigned from his position on Thursday morning.
At a press conference held at the RFUEA grounds in Nairobi, Roulston explained that he made the decision as he had not been paid his salary for several months.
Roulston lamented on unfulfilled promises from the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) as he revealed that other members of the technical bench were affected as well.
The New Zealander announced his exit in dramatic fashion, taking the microphone right after Head coach Ian Snook named the squad that will face Zimbabwe on Saturday, June 30, 2018 in a Rugby Africa Gold Cup fixture.
He further disclosed that he failed to travel with the rest of the team to Morocco for their last match.

He was appointed as Kenya fifteens assistant coach on 12th April 2018 and resigns barely two months later.
Kenya Rugby Union Director of Rugby Thomas Odundo and Simbas team manager Simiyu Wangila were also in attendance at the press conference.
KRU Treasurer Joshua Aroni, however, refuted claims of pending payments as he maintained that all salaries had been paid in full.
When contacted by Kenyans.co.ke to shed more light on the matter, the union was unavailable for comment by the time of going to press.
The news comes even as Innocent Simiyu was reinstated as Head Coach of the Sevens team three days after the union sacked him after he took responsibility for his players' decision to conceal the sponsor's message on their jerseys over unpaid salaries and bonuses.
