Fired Kenya 7's Shujaa national rugby team coach Innocent Simuiyu was on Monday reinstated to his position as Head Coach.
Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Achesa announced the reverse order in a letter seen by Kenyans.co.ke.
CS Achesa stated that the resolution to reinstate the fired coach was reached following a joint meeting with the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) board of directors, CEO Ronald Bukusi and Vice Chairman Thomas Opiyo.
"We resolved the following; Innocent Simuiyu to be reinstated as the Head Coach of the 7's Shujaa National Team.

"The Ministry to work with KRU on the pending payments of their salaries and allowances.
"In future, the federation to be consulting with the ministry before such key and serious decisions are made," the communique read in part.
According to the letter signed by CS Achesa, the ministry would further assist in the preparations for the 7's World Cup to be held in July 2018 in San Fransisco, United States of America (USA).
Mr Simiyu was fired following a drastic decision by Tourism CS Najib Balala to cut off Ksh20 Million funding for the team.
CS Balala cited a breach of contract after the team failed to include the "Make it Kenya" Brand Kenya slogan at the front of the jerseys they played in at the Paris leg.
