Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo Backs President Uhuru's Fight Against Corrution

Mbita Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo has issued a stern warning to politicians and corruption suspects opposed to President Uhuru Kenyatta's fight against graft.

Addressing residents of Kamureri and Wakulla villages in Mbita, Ms Odhiambo asserted that anyone who plans to joke with Uhuru will have to face her first.

Lauding the President's initiative to fight corruption in his regime, the MP noted that those found to have embezzled public funds must face the law.

"We are fully and totally behind the President in fighting corruption. I can tell you in the past I have been known to be unfriendly to the presidency.

"Right now if anybody jokes with the President they will find me head on. I will deal with them “mundu khumundu (one on one),” announced the legislator.

Additionally, she added that the famous handshake between Opposition chief Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta had yielded fruits and residents in her constituency could attest to it.

“We hope the handshake will bring many other benefits. Yesterday we were in Remba with fishermen and the entire county security team courtesy of the handshake. I’m defender number one,” she indicated.

The lawmaker declared this while issuing title deeds to residents of the villages who for a long time have been having conflicts over the pieces of land they occupy.

She joins her ODM colleagues who have applauded Uhuru's fight against corruption.

Raila had also sounded a warning to all corrupt officials in government saying he will not give refuge to those found guilty of graft.
