Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo Attacks Uhuru for Insulting Joho & Nanok

Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo on Wednesday night took a jibe at President Uhuru Kenyatta after the recent insults he hurled towards Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Turkana counterpart Josphat Nanok.

Speaking on NTV's Sidebar show, Ms Odhiambo rebuked Mr Kenyatta for using 'unpresidential language' while addressing the two Opposition leaders.

She noted that following the President's utterances, she was not embarrassed for earlier insulting him at Parliament building.

"I want to say that his words were not presidential at all and given what he said, I have no regrets over what I told him," Odhiambo said.

The lawmaker pointed out that it was regrettable that President Kenyatta was being excused for his explosive remarks on the basis that he is only human yet other leaders like herself were being lashed for talking to the Head of State in the same manner.

"If it was wrong for me as Millie Odhiambo to tell the President Shenzi, then it is equally wrong for him to tell anybody shenzi," the Mbita MP noted.

She insisted that Mr Kenyatta had a higher responsibility to the Nation to be decent in his speech.

"If it was what Millie said was wrong, if the President says it, it is even worse because to them that much is given, much is expected," she insisted.

In December, the Mbita MP lost her cool and publicly abused the President noting that she was entitled to her opinion.

The Mbita legislator even dared Kenyatta to take her to court, stating that she is ready to face him. She further told the President that she does not respect him and that he would be sent back to Gatundu in the 2017 poll.
