Gracious Amani 'Githurai Girl' Gets Signed by Pine Creek Records

Gracious Amani, popularly known as Githurai Girl, for her Alicia Keys' song cover of “Girl on Fire" has finally signed a recording deal.

Posting on their Facebook page, Pine Creek records announced that the eight-year-old internet sensation will now nurture her talent under their label.

Pine Creek further assured Kenyans that they would advance Amani G's, her newly labeled stage name, talent to "levels unimagined."

"Her talent has finally found a home where it will be nurtured to levels unimagined! Ladies and Gents... join us in welcoming Amani G to our Record Label!" the record label declared.

The label captioned their announcement with a video of the girl in studio seemingly recording a song.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Amani G's mother Precious Pendo expressed her excitement over the signed deal.

However, she subtly declined to divulge further details of the deal stating that they ( her together with the record label) would make an official announcement on Friday.

Pine Creek seems to have beat other records to sign Amani as even multi-talented Kenyan group Sauti Sol sought to get in touch with her (Amani).

"Someone please help us find her," Sauti Sol posted on Twitter.

Speaking on Sauti Sol's statement, Amani's mother revealed that the group is yet to reach out to her, but she welcomes any offers they have in building her daughter's musical career.

"They were given my contacts by a friend, but they are yet to reach out to us," she told Kenyans.co.ke

Her record deal follows American singer Alicia Keys' reaction to Amani's video that saw netizens urge her to help her develop the talent.
