Murkomen Angers Kenyans After Taking Photo With World Cup Referee

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen was trolled by netizens on Monday after he took a photo with one of the world cup referees.

Murkomen alleged that he had made a deal with Nestor Pitana, who officiated the world cup final, to come and referee a charity match in Kenya.

“Congratulations Referee Nestor Pitana. You did a good job by managing the 2018 FIFA World Cup Finals well. Welcome to Kenya next year for a charity match as agreed.” read the post.

He also shared a photo together with legendary referee Pierluigi Collina.

The lawmaker is currently on a Russian tour among other 20 politicians in a trip fully sponsored by the government.

However, Kenyans were not pleased with this and redirected their efforts to troll him.

In defense of the trip, Homabay MP Peter Kaluma indicated that they were in Russia to learn how to hold such a big event.

He also mentioned that taxpayers deserve to pay for the trip since they were on official duty.

National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi defended the controversial trip citing the MPs were expected to table a report to parliament on their return.

Some of the legislators in the trip include Siaya Senator James Orengo, Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga, Kakamega Senator Clepha Malala and Aaron Cheruyiot from Kericho.

He will not improve football in kenya, only good management n upgrade of our football facilities will. Let's invest in football not mashamba tu.
