The businessman who is adversely mentioned in the Ruaraka land scam claims that the county administration set him up.
Mburu has accused the top administration of "illegal allocation" of the controversial 3.2-acre piece of land that was allegedly sold to both the Ministry of Education and the General Service Unit (GSU) at a sum of Ksh3.2 Billion.
The bitter businessman accused Governor Sonko of lying when he stated that Mburu did not own the prime plot on which the Drive-Inn and Ruaraka Primary Schools stand.

"Here is the correct position, Sonko is lying to Kenyans, he is not a straightforward person, Sonko has allocated over 800 plots illegally on my property.
"You know how much I want from Nairobi County Government, I want Ksh.30 billion," he stated shortly after he was released from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) offices where he was being held.
He added: "They took those properties, have built high rise buildings on my properties and are now talking of surrender. How can you allocate my land to the rich guys around and then demand surrender, what surrender?"
The businessman further dismissed as a misconception the notion that he is a billionaire.
"I don’t show off, do you know me? I am a down to earth person, they are hurting me for nothing. I am not a billionaire, I am just a rich man," he stated.
He has also vowed to sue the government for defamation at the Dubai International Court seeking $250 Million as compensation for damage caused on his reputation.
