Miguna Miguna Blames Magufuli for Raila Odinga’s New Stance

In a post on Sunday, Lawyer Miguna Miguna accused Tanzanian President John Magufuli’s party of rigging elections.

In his continued attacks on ODM leader Raila Odinga, the lawyer blamed him for failing to raise his voice on the issue noting that it's the reason the former Premier engaged in the handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“When the CCM (Chama Cha Mapinduzi) stole the 2015 Tanzanian election and imposed President Magufuli, Raila should have condemned it,” he stated.

“That way, Magufuli wouldn’t have pressured Raila Odinga to surrender to Uhuru Kenyatta in exchange for a few tokens,” his post read.

He was referring to the new alleged role that Raila was given by President Kenyatta. The role was not clearly fleshed out with reports claiming his travel expenses on missions outside the country are catered for.

Miguna Miguna also asked his followers to remain brave and show leadership as opposed to waiting for others to do so.

“We must remain fearless and lead by example,” he concluded.

On Twitter, one user Isrom Baba asked him to be concerned with his personal issues noting: “Stop talking about Baba, carry your own cross.”

Miguna gave a quick-witted answer: ”I don’t carry crosses, I carry AK47s.” Later, he pointed out that all things start from imagination meaning his statement was metaphorical.
