Additional reports indicate that the fire burnt down houses near Mobil Petrol station along the Outering Road.

Emergency services including fire engines were deployed to help put out the fire.

In a separate incident, several families are counting heavy losses after a raging fire gutted down their residential houses in Kasarani Comrade Estate in Elburgon, Molo sub-county forcing them to spend the night in the cold.

These recent incidents come a day after another fire was reported in Ziwani Slums near Kariokor in Nairobi.

In Ziwani, the night blaze started at a rehabilitation school for teens from the slums and a children's rescue centre.

Earlier in August, two separate fires were confirmed by the Kenya Red Cross.
