Mutahi Ngunyi's Intriguing Letter to President Uhuru in Dubai

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi sent out an intriguing open letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Through his weekly show, The Fifth Estate, Mutahi's letter took focus on three-point agenda demanding action from Uhuru.

Firstly, Mutahi alleged that Uhuru needs to strike a balance between his power and craft to deliver his mandate.

Quoting from The Art of War by Italian diplomat Niccolò Machiavelli, Mutahi stated: "Uhuru is a leader at war and there are two ways of fighting: one by the law, the other by force.

"The first method is natural to men, the second to beasts; but because the first is frequently inadequate, it is necessary to resort to the second.

Mutahi, therefore, concluded that it is necessary for Uhuru to understand how to make use of both firm fist nature of the beast and the nature of man.

Secondly, Mutahi indicated that Uhuru should stick to his purpose in serving the country without wavering to the right or the left or consulting anyone.

While noting that the Oath of Presidency is a solemn promise between him, God and the country, the political analyst indicated that Uhuru is at liberty to pursue what he deems fit for the country.

Thirdly, Mutahi opined that for Uhuru to succeed in his endeavors, he must convey the purpose of his actions to the electorate.

"Uhuru has not revealed his purpose to us. Wherever the purpose is not clear, good intentions go to waste, and that is where we are today.

Noting that every person has a purpose in life, Mutahi concluded that Uhuru will only succeed when he elaborates the purpose behind the Big Four Agenda and his war on corruption.
