The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on Monday tabled a report revealing the 10 most corrupt Government Ministries and Arms of Government.
According to the report, the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government is the most corrupt with a 64.7% score in 2017.
This marks a significant rise in corruption in the docket headed by Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i with a 2016 survey having ranked the Ministry at 45.9%.
Second in the list is the Ministry of Health under CS Sicily Kariuki with a score of 27.8% in 2017 - a slight decline from the 33% score in 2016.
The Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development came third at 23.9% followed by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure at 13%.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is the fifth most corrupt institution at 11.7% and the Devolution and Planning sixth with a score of 10.3%.
EACC also found the Ministry of Defense to be 7th corrupt among the Government Ministries at 7.1%.
This is followed by Ministry of Finance (6.6%), Water and Irrigation (5.1%) and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (4.5%) at position 8, 9 and 10 respectively.
The Kenya Police which falls under the Ministry of Interior was ranked as the most corrupt among the government department and agencies.
Judiciary has a lower score at 0.9%, with institutions such as Public Hospitals scoring 9.8%, Kenya Revenue Authority (8.2%), National Land Commission (7.3%), National Transport Safety Authority (4.9%), and Immigration Department (4.3%).
