Mzee Moi Asks Kalonzo to Visit His Kabarak Home

Retired President Daniel Moi on Thursday invited Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to his Kabarak home.

The message was delivered by his son, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, who gave scanty details of the exact agenda of the invitation.

In a live broadcast of Senator Moi's visit to the former Vice President's Karen office, he informed Kalonzo that his father wanted him to visit Kabarak where he will also give his personal condolences to the family of Mzee Peter Muilu Musyoka.

Senator Moi was among several leaders who were in Karen to condole with the NASA principal's family informing Kalonzo that the late Muilu was his father's agemate but Mzee Moi could not visit as he was "having a few challenges."

"I have come to give my condolences to yourself and the entire family on behalf of our party, family and the people of Baringo but more importantly from Mzee. He could not come, he has a few challenges but has requested that when you feel strong enough you go see him at Kabarak," stated Senator Moi.

The KANU chairman revealed that the late Mzee Muilu was a friend to Mzee Moi noting it will be a great honour to welcome Kalonzo to his father's home in Kabarak.

The Wiper leader stated that he was keen to visit Mzee Moi, pledging to travel to Kabarak immediately after the interment of his father, a ceremony scheduled for Friday, November 9, 2018.

"Please give our greetings to Mzee. We feel this should have happened a long time ago. We want to come as soon as we can. We want to lay Mzee to rest, a lot of friends want to join us and we have to allow adequate time for people to come," responded Kalonzo, pledging to visit Moi as soon as his father is laid to rest.

Senator Moi noted that the visit shall be convened as soon as convenient for the Wiper Party leader and would be a way "to show our respect for Mzee."

Kalonzo's father died on Saturday last week while receiving treatment in Nairobi. Earlier on Thursday, ODM Party leader Raila Odinga also visited Mzee Muilu's family in the company of several legislators.

The former PM appealed for prayers for Mr Musyoka's mother who he said was also unwell.
