Joey Muthengi Gives Emotional Tribute as She Leaves Citizen TV

Friday night was all tears for Joey Muthengi and her fans as she officially announced leaving Royal Media Services during the10-Over-10 show.

The youthful presenter tried to hold her tears but couldn't help it. She broke down on TV as a part of the onset audience walked to the stage for a goodbye hug as she called it quits for Citizen TV. 

In the emotional sing-off, Joey expressed her gratitude to the Royal Media Services management.

She also thanked her cohost Willis Raburu and the entire production crew. She lauded her audience for support and admitted she'd been having tougher days in the recent past.

Her fans couldn't hide their love as they received the announcement with cheers that spilled over to social media where she pledged to update her next career moves.

"For those asking where I am headed; I am going to the club tonight, I will take some time to relax and recuperate. It think I deserve that. There will be a lot of travelling starting with my Machakos County...It is not a goodbye, but I just say see you later," concluded Joey.

Raburu described Joey as not just an amazing partner at work but also a great friend away from their career engagement at Citizen TV.

The two have an off-air relationship whose details they couldn't share at the time but promised not to part ways even with Joey's exit.

Apparently, Joey has been a pillar for Raburu. He admitted having wanted to quit Citizen TV on many occasions but she, Joey, encouraged him to stay.
