Kalonzo Meets With Mzee Moi [PHOTOS]

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has met former President Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarak home.

The special peace envoy to South Sudan was accompanied by his son and EALA MP Kennedy Musyoka, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr and his Kitui counterpart Enoch Kiio Wambua.

Also present during the meeting was Baringo senator, who is Moi’s son, Gideon.

Kalonzo’s visit honours an invitation by the retired president that was delivered by Baringo Senator.

In a live broadcast of Senator Moi's visit to the former Vice President's Karen office, he informed Kalonzo that his father wanted him to visit Kabarak where he will also give his personal condolences to the family of Mzee Peter Muilu Musyoka.

He mentioned that the late Muilu was his father's agemate but Mzee Moi could not visit as he was "having a few challenges."

The Wiper leader stated that he was keen to visit Mzee Moi, pledging to travel to Kabarak immediately after the interment of his father.

An earlier visit planned by Kalonzo was cancelled after it emerged that Mzee Moi's diary was fully booked.

Kalonzo had expressed his desire to meet Mzee Moi on April 14 shortly after he returned from an election observation mission in Azerbaijan.

The Wiper leader intimated that his visit would involve asking for blessing from Mzee Moi and Kenya's pioneer First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta as he plans to embark on a 2022 presidential bid.
