Police Offer Millions in Search for Italian Tourist's Abductors

Police have offered a Kshs3 million reward for information leading to the arrest of three men accused of abducting Sylvia Constanca an Italian volunteer.

A statement from Police Headquarters read that Kshs1 million will be offered for the arrest of any of the three men identified as see Ibrahim Adam Omar, Yusuf Kuno Adan and Said Adan Abdiβ€”all claimed to be armed and dangerous.

β€œWe consequently appeal to the public to inform the nearest police officer or police station should they see any of the three persons for further action.” read the communication.

The authorities have also established that two motorbikes were used as the gateway conveyance during the kidnapping.

The motorbikes were sold to Malindi Coast Motorcycles which inturned sold them to Moses Suleiman Mbogo and Joseph Bakuna Kazungu.

The two individuals have been ordered to report to the nearest police station immediately.

The multi-agency team assembled to rescue the lady were doing all they could to find her and bring the criminals to justice.

Members of the public were also reminded to make sure they follow due process when transferring ownership of property as well as reporting theft to prevent future inconveniences in case their property was used in a crime.

14 people have so far been arrested in a multi-agency operation in Chakama, Kilifi County following the kidnapping of the Italian student by suspected Al-Shabaab militants.

Reports indicated that the suspects were arrested at Chakama and Galana-Kulalu on Wednesday night before being taken to different police stations for interrogation.
